Born in Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. Began studying Tozan-ryu shakuhachi under Miyoshi Genzan at the age of 8.
Passed the Tozan-ryu Shakuhachi Gakkai associate-shihan examination at 12, and the shihan examination at 16.
Graduated from the Department of Japanese Traditional Music, Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts in 2021, and completed the university’s graduate program in 2023.
While still a student, performed the Tozan-ryu honkyoku piece "Asakaze" on the NHK Radio program "Hogaku Hyakuban."
Active across honkyoku and sankyoku ensemble repertoire, as well as shakuhachi ensemble works and premieres of newly composed pieces.
Has studied under Miyoshi Genzan, Nomura Hozan (Living National Treasure), Fujiwara Dozan, and Aoki Reibo III.
